Mass Media Records is proud to present a new 12 inch by Portland Peace Punks VIVID SEKT. Following two EP releases including a split EP with BOG PEOPLE (a band in which Guitarist ALEX also played in) VIVID SEKT returns with more dark punk anthems which updates the moody bass melodies of THE MOB and raw punk ferocity of SUBHUMANS to create a new Anarcho Punk classic. The band features members of similarly influenced bands as ARCTIC FLOWERS and MORAL HEX, but their sound doesn't reveal the hardcore pace of the former nor the more post punk sound of the latter. VIVID SEKT is a punk band through and through with vocalist SEE SEE IDENTITIY's blaring a vicious reminder in every lyric. The recording is raw enough to leave the DIY punk spirit intact in place of unnecessary studio polish and the artwork, hand drawn by members GREG and ALEX, supplements the sense of desperation and hope that the bands music drills into the listeners head.  (Mass Media Records)
